Calling all Juniors for the Department Junior Convention!!!

What: The Department Junior Convention

When: Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00am-3:00pm

Where: Spanish Fork Veterans Memorial Building

                400 N. Main St.

                Spanish Fork, UT

We will be electing new Honorary Department Junior Officers, folding pocket flags to be given to deployed National Guard units, making Thank You cards for our Veterans, and learning about how to conduct a meeting! Please make sure your Juniors have paid their dues so they can vote.  It will be a fun and informative day.  Lunch will be served.

Juniors

Calling all Juniors!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 16, 2011!!  This is the date for the Utah Junior Department Convention.  It will be held at 11am with the location to be announced.  Only those Juniors present and with dues paid will be eligible to run for offices and vote.  Therefore, please make sure you pay your dues ASAP! 

For the next two months keep working on your patches.  We will be focusing next on Community Service.  There are lots of ideas for community service to meet the requirements for this patch.  You could help with a spring clean up, volunteer at your local library, church, school, unit, or in the community.  Just remember to keep a log of your hours and what you did and for whom. 

Once you have completed the patch requirements, remember to send the form to me so I can get you your patch.

Juniors Girls Hold Semi Annual Meeting December 2010

The Department of Utah Junior Auxiliary met in December in Salt Lake City to hold a meeting to elect officers and prepare to help serve our veterans at the gift shop held at the VA hospital.
The above photos are those taken during the meeting. It was a great time to meet new juniors and elect officers.
Special thanks to Jamie Topham junior activities chairman for putting together a get outing for the junior girls in the state of Utah. Also thanks to all the auxiliary members who attended  and helped the juniors, it sure helps to have the auxiliary members there to support the juniors in their get together.
